Graduate School

I recently completed a 15-credit-hour graduate certificate program for digital storytelling – and am now three credits short of a master's degree in communication – at the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

The certificate program focused on understanding the theoretical foundation of storytelling, and applying it to various disciplines in communication and teaching applied skills in multimedia technology to compete in the converged job market.

I first created this website as my online portfolio and as a key component of my personal branding strategy – using Weebly.com after Professor Linda Menck introduced it to my Emerging Media class in September 2010. I recently and significantly revamped the site as part of my capstone course for the certificate program, aiming to have it better reflect my aspirations to be a digital journalism educator and a digital leader.
