Here's another Storify. (Does it seem I like doing these?) It focuses on my niece and her friend and their weeklong visit to Chicago. Appreciated the chance to show teenagers how Twitter can be used for more than just chatter, and how curating social media preserves memories. One other thing: a colleague tweeted, after it was published, for me to include video. So I added a very cute 15-second clip of Andrea and Keturah playing their part on cue. Enjoy.

What a great trip! It sounds like there are many landmarks and attractions in Chicago worth visiting that I was unaware of. Great pictures as well.

I initially saw this posted on Facebook/Twitter, and I loved your idea of compiling tweets with your own dialogue to tell the story. It really archives the memory of the trip for your niece and also makes me happy because I'm included!

CHICAGO!! While it looked like Mrs. Lowe was making some good food for Andrea and Keturah, next time they visit they should eat some hotdogs and italian beef from around the city- no one does it better than Chicago!

Thanks again for having all of us Marquette students to your home. It was great meeting your wife, your niece, and her friend. This Storify really gave fragmented tweets and Facebook updates a face and connected the story. It made me miss Chicago and all the wonderful shopping I left behind for Wisconsin.

Glad they enjoyed the trip! It's great to see older generations communicating with their younger family members via technology. I'm sure it seems a bit weird to your niece at time, but I know many people my age would love to communicate with their family members online!

This is a really fun and unique way of telling a story! I love the dialogue between everyone. I got a good feel of your niece and her friend's attitude and personality through a mere 140 characters.

I love how using Storify captures the spontaneity and humor of the girls' visit. It is so cool that Storify can create a digital memory by using tweets and video. I look forward to learning how to use Storify so I can put the same kind of project together. Now, I just have to convince my family to jump on the Twitter train!

I had originally enjoyed reading all of these tweets as they happened but seeing them all compiled into a Storify was just fabulous; I intend to come back here for a laugh often.

What a great way to compile fun memories! Marissa is right, it's great to see social media being used socially. It's hard to find that balance between fun and professionalism with all the social media tools the Internet has to offer, but necessary.

I remember loving this when I read it for JOUR 1100. Being a member of the Lowe family seems like it's always an adventure.
